Ryuta Kashiwamoto is a talented western-style painting artist loved by many fans, who has mainly exhibited at Niki-ten exhibition and in solo shows at Galarie Nichido after winning the Nichido Art Fund (Bijutsu Zaidan) Award at Showakai Exhibition 2003.
This exhibition's theme is "Sign/Resonation."
"When a musician plays a note, there is new music. But all sound just created weakens and diminishes into the past at the very moment. However, music is not only reverberation. The audience is led by sharp sensitivity of the musician and deep tension right before the sound is created. That is to say, music exists even before it's heard," says the artist, who names the time and space extending before and after the boundary of the moment to make a note as "Sing" and "resonation" and tries to draw them out into the canvas.
Moreover, relationality of such time and space exists not only in music, but also in all minor sceneries before our eyes such as the circle of seasons, growth of plants and change of climate, etc. and they may be continuous and linked.
Each viewer may be able to face the time and space painted in approximately 30 pieces of No.100 to small works. Please enjoy the show.
