Brasilier is specialized in majestic nature and animals, in particular, horses, and captures hearts of many fans, where exhibitions of his art pieces have been held at museums all over the world. At this exhibition, we will exhibit approximately 25 pieces including large and small oil paintings and prints. We are looking forward to your visit.
【Artist's biography】
Born in Saumur, France in 1929. Entered Ecole des Beaux Arts in 1949 and studied under Brianchon. Won the Florence Blumental Award in 1952, and the first prize in the Painting Section of the Rome Grand Award in 1953. Studied abroad at Académie de France à Rome in 1954 through 1957. Won the Villeneuve-sur-Lot in 1960 and Charles Morey Award in 1961. Moved to the United States in 1962 for the first time and held his first solo show in New York. Paid his first visit to Japan in 1974. During this time, he exhibited his art pieces at Salon d'Automne, Seinen Kaiga Ten (Painting Exhibition of the Youth), Salon des Tuileries, Comparaison Exhibition, etc. Began production of pottery in Vallauris in 1978. His retrospective exhibitions were held at Château de Chenonceau in 1980, at Musée Picasso Antibes in 1988, at Kasama Nichido Museum in 1990 and at Vascoille Castle (Normandie). Held many oil painting and pottery exhibitions at Galerie Nichido Main Gallery and its branches since 1983. Received Prix du Cheval à Bascule (Medal of Honor of Angers).
