Hiroshi Hiraoka -Seeking Lights and Winds of the Season--

His atelier is located in Dazaifu City, Fukuoka Prefecture which is surrounded by many historical spots and mountains of rich nature and his detailed and warm landscape paintings greatly attract his fans mainly from the local areas.
His lyrical works which elaborately capture nature's breath and transformation of seasons such as mountains, rivers and seasonal plants and flowers give deep impressions in the viewers' mind with rich colors and delicate touches.
This is his first show at Galerie Nichido Fukuoka after five years and presents paintings made after his visits to various places all over the country in seeking of landscapes of each season unique to Japan.
We will exhibit more than 40 landscape paintings of Kamikochi and Hakubamura Village in Shinshu, rice terraces of Asukamura Village in Nara, skirts, ripening rice fields and valleys of autumn leaves of Aso, Kokonoe and Yufudake in Kyushu, etc.
Mr. Hiraoka will be often at the gallery during the exhibition. It will be a precious opportunity to directly learn about his wish embedded in his works and work process. Not only painting lovers but also those who are thinking about starting to know about arts are welcome. Please enjoy new discovery and sensation.
