QUARTET ~Feast of beauty by four French artists~
Pierre Lesieur, André Brasilier, Pierre Christin, Nicole Bottet"

It is an exhibition with fragrance and playful esprit of France with approximately ten pieces each from the four artists; namely;
Pierre Lesieur, who expresses indoor sceneries and still objects with rich colors,
André Brasilier, who draws lives poetically and livelily,
Pierre Christin, who sees street sceneries like cafés with gently view,
Nicole Bottet, whose popular art pieces use collages of Japanese paper, gold leaf and wastepaper, etc.

Pierre LESIEUR
Born in Paris in 1922. Entered École des Beaux-Arts in 1940, but left the school and began to study by himself. In1952, he held his first solo show at Galerie Bignou. Exhibited his works at Salon de Mai, Ecole de Paris, Salon des Tuileries, etc. Won the Critic Award in 1958. Held a solo show at Galerie Nichido in 1971, and at Galerie Nichido Paris in 1975 and held many exhibitions since then. Held a solo show at Musée Picasso d'Antibes in 1965. A retrospective show was held at Van Gogh Art Center (Province) in 1991 and at Château de Chenonceau in 1994. Solo shows were held at Sakata City Museum of Art, Kasama Nichido Museum of Art, Matsuzakaya Museum in 2002. Passed away in Paris in 2011. Published art collection books in 1986, 1992, 1998 and 2002.
André BRASILIER
Born in Saumur, France in 1929. Entered École des Beaux-Arts in 1949 and studied with Brianchon. Won Florence Blumental Award in 1952, the first prize in Painting Section of the Rome Grand Prix Exhibition in 1953. Studied at France Academy in Rome from 1954 to 1957. Won Villneuve-sur-Lot Award in 1960 and Charle Molet Award in 1961. Went to the United States for his first time in 1962 and held a solo show in New York. Held the first solo show in Tokyo in 1969. Visited Japan for his first time in 1974, during which he exhibited his works at Salon d'automne, young people's exhibition of paintings, Salon des Tuileries、Comparaison Exhibition, etc. Began production of pottery in Vallauris in 1978. A retrospective show was held at Château de Chenonceau in 1980, at Musée Picasso d'Antibes in 1988, Kasama Nichido Museum of Art in 1990, Vascoille Castle (Normandie) in 1996. Has held many exhibitions of oil paintings and pottery at the main gallery and branches of Galerie Nichido since 1983. Received Cheval d'or (medal of honor of Angers) in 1989.
Pierre CHIRISTIN
Born in Evian, France in 1935. Held the first solo show in Evian in 1961 and the first solo show in Paris in 1965. Won the Critic Award in 1966. Held the first solo show at Galerie Nichido (Tokyo) in 1969 (16 times thereafter and 16 times at Galerie Nichido Paris). Won the 31st Monaco City International Award in 1997. His works as the public collections at Épinal Museum (1975) and Annecy Museum (1981) in France, Neckerargemuend Museum in Germany (1984), Evian City (1984), Nakata Museum in Onomichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture (2002), Evian City Church (2006), etc.
Nicole BOTTET
Born in Pontoise, France in 1942. Graduated from École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts in 1969. Held the first solo show in Paris in 1973. Won Prix Nichido (Paris) in 1975. Has held a solo show once in a few years at Galerie Nichido (Paris and Japan) since 1976. This show will the 16th solo show in Japan. In addition, held a solo show in various places including France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Published art collection books in 1999, 2000, 2002, 2011 and 2022. Currently lives in Paris.
