Ryohei Matsumoto Exhibition －RECREATION－

Mr. Matsumoto spent his childhood in the environment to familiarize himself with painting and began to seriously aim to become a painter after graduating from college. He successfully won the best award at Showakai Award in his fourth trial and has been working as one of the most notable artists now. In this show named "Recreation," he will present approximately 30 new pieces from large ones to small ones such as a story he recreated based on his love towards creatures, and a story of a cat and small animals drawn with the theme of "Animals and Plants" by Jakuchu Ito.
Ryohei MATSUMOTO
Born in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1988. Completed the course in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Bioscience, Graduate School of Advanced Science and Engineering, Waseda University in 2013 Received Akiko Endo Award at the 12th World Art Exhibition in 2016. Exhibited at the PLUSS2018 CONTEMPORARY ART SHOW (Seoul) and ART EXPO MALAYSIA (Kuala Lumpur) in 2018. Received Showakai Award at the 54th Showakai Exhibition in 2019. Exhibited at ART ELYSEES (Paris) and ART BUSAN (Busan) (2021). Exhibited at BAMA (Busan) in 2020. Held a solo show at Galerie Nichido Main Gallery in 2022. Currently working as a freelancer.
