"Memorial Exhibition of Art Book Rojin Matsuki Exhibition"

It is almost 6 years since Mr. Rojin Matsuki passed away. He is one of the artists who had the deepest relationship with Galerie Nichido by walking together with us after receiving Showakai Award at the 5th Showakai Exhibition in 1970. Born in the land of Hokkaido, he devoted to descriptive production of the fantastical nature of the northern land with his excellent description skills as his lifework. Peaceful atmosphere is projected from the paintings, and time is flowing lyrically and slowly beyond the described nature and people. That can remind us of the personality of Mr. Matsuki who was always calm and gentle.
An art book has been recently issued with more than 100 pieces of Mr. Matsuki from his school years to his very last years. We will hold an exhibition to exhibit 40 pieces of his posthumous works to again celebrate the great works of Mr. Matsuki. We hope to show the world of Mr. Matsuki's paintings to as many people as possible.
