"Hiroo Yamamura Exhibition"　Galerie Nichido Main Gallery

We are pleased to introduce a large solo show of Mr. Hiroo Yamamura for the first time after six years.
For about 30 years since he won the Showakai Award in 1993, Mr. Hiroo Yamamura has firmly proceeded with his career by holding mainly a number of solo shows and "Kokugakai" exhibitions. His motifs at the time of his award winning were naked women and people with influence of American abstract expressionism, and he was seemingly shifting to abstract expression, but after his information collection in Paris, he changed his direction to landscapes and has been faithfully devoted into landscapes of Europe, mainly in Italy and France with transparency.
This exhibition's subject is also the European landscapes, but we can see changes in his touch. His works for the previous solo show were attractive in the dynamism of brushwork and structures with colors. However, his brushworks are carefully and elaborated in detail, which attract us with precision. Please enjoy his 50 large and small pieces of sincerity.
