Born in France Limoges
1862 Began to study art under Charles Gleyre. There he met Claude Monetand Edgar Dega.
1862 Entered Ecole des Beaux-Arts.
1864 Submitted the work "La Esmeralda" to the Salon and have been accepted.
1869 He developed Impressionist style with Monet. As a great portrait painter and as a leader of Impressionist
painter known for his urban and suburban landscapes and women with bright colour and brush strokes, Renoir
had a great influence on the artists in the later generations.
1876 - He exhibited at the 2nd and 3rd Impressionist Exhibition.
1879
1883 - His solo exhibition was held at Durand-Ruel's gallery.
1892
1886 He displayed his 38 works at Impressionist Exhibition organized by Durand-Ruel.
1888 After "Ingres period" he changed direction again.
1900 He received the Legion d'Honneur 5th Class Chevalier.
1910 He exhibited 37 works in retrospective at the Venice Biennale
1919 He received the Legion d'Honneur 3rd Class Commandeur.
